In celebration of my interview at UM tomorrow, I wanted to share this interview feedback entrance I found while browsing:
Date submitted: 4/1/2003 11:34:59 AM
Date of interview: 3/1/03
Comments: Well, the experience was pretty terrible to say the least. But I sparked up a J as soon as I exited the building, and after smoking some dank for an hour or two, I relaxed. The interviewers asked some tough questions, but they were easy to bull**** on, which is probably why I got accepted so fast. Just be yourself until they ask you about the poor, then turn on the fake humanitarian act, save the whales, free tibet, equality for all crap and they'll buy it. They really try to do a good job of fooling applicants into thinking that they are really diverse, and that they are socioeconomically diverse. But I got the real picture from some of the students. They told me most people are sons of doctors or their parents are wealthy benefactors of the school. Lots of Ivy Leaguers too over there, not much room for people without money. Didn't bother me none, my dads a doc so I knew I had a fair shot. I'm not sure if I'll matriculate here or not, maybe if they clean it up a little bit and higher some more janitors. I'm not gonna run all the way home from class everyday just to take dumps if you know what I mean

What was the most interesting question you were asked? What do you think about the Supreme Court case being heard right now regarding the U of M law school admissions policy? And how do you feel it differs from the admissions policy of U of M undergrad? Positively or Negatively? And
What was the most difficult question you were asked? If a prison inmate presented to your ER with massive bloodloss, and was about to bleed to death, but you knew you could save him, but 5 of his internal organs match those of people on the donor list, would you let him die??? How would it affect your response if I told you that he was Osama Bin Laden??? How would you react if your superior ordered you to let the patient die???
How did you prepare for the interview? Smoked a ton of pot.........tons of hasheesh, I'm tellin you, I was blown out for about a week before the interview to help me calm down, and I actually think I'm the first person in history to show up for a med school interview 10 minutes after hitting an enormous blunt for over an hour. And I still got in!
What positively impressed you? Nothing really. There are a lot of really smart students, but they are completely devoid of people skills and also devoid of souls. More like robotic turbo nerds I guess.
What negatively impressed you? How many questions they asked about affirmative action? Who really gives a rats ass about all that liberal crap? Also, the bathroom facilities in the lecture hall were putrid! It reeked in their, and no one takes care of it, Janitors must be on strike or something? Also, I witnessed a professor, I swear to god, a professor, emerge from a bathroom stall, and bee line right for the door without even washing his hands. But thats not the worst part though, he ALSO DIDN'T FLUSH!!!!!! Nice Floater buddy, I guess PHD's at the U of M are too good to flush their own ****? Oh and did I mention their was no TP in that stall either? Gross man
What did you wish you had known ahead of time? How crappy of a college town Ann Arbor is. Talk about a dank urine soaked hellhole. My housing accomodation was with a student that lived relatively close to the school, and his apartment was horrible. Also, I wish someone would have warned me about the bathroom situations at U of M too.

Question 1 Are any of your family members doctors???
