Hi, I'm a newbie, so I'll apologize in advance if this type of post is not okay.

I have an interview for Syracuse Uni's clinical psych program on March 21 and was wondering if anyone from the New England area was driving out for the interview and wouldn't mind a me tagging along. I'll happily split the cost of gas.

New England area is a pretty big area... I'm not heading up there, but maybe clarify for others?

Also, I would suggest taking a train and getting in contact with the person in charge of running Interview Day to help arrange for someone to pick you up: http://www.amtrak.com/

I recently interviewed up there for internship, and I took megabus/trailsway up there from NYC. I did not want to rent a car so I depended on the hotel's FREE shuttle van to pick me up/drop off. This saved me $$ on renting a car and the dangers of driving in scary snowy conditions. This is where I stayed:

They have a sister hotel that is nearby and also has a free shuttle. It's nice and quiet and not too expensive. It's also within walking distance (15-20 mins?) to Syracuse U's main area. I think there's a Sheraton right on campus, but it's $$$.

GOOD LUCK on your interview! It's a great program.

Again, sorry if this isn't okay.

I'm a little off topic, but you should change your status to "pre-psychology" rather than "psychologist." This is a term reserved for those with phds or psy.ds who are also licensed to practice.

I didn't know anyone actually looked at what people had as their status... Are you really a dual MD/PhD student? Am I really pre-health?
