I got my acceptance phone call from UF yesterday (Dr. Sposetti). I was surprised because my interview was only a few weeks ago, on January 13th. Just some advice--nail that interview! It helps to just "be yourself" and be friendly. The interviewers are trying to learn about YOU so that they can represent you to the big admissions committee. Who else is a class-of-2010 GATOR? It would be nice to meet some of my classmates before fall.

Did she say when you would be getting your letter? Also, what are your stats if you don't mind me asking? I'm hoping for a similar call. Any info. you can give is appreciated. Thanks.

Just curious, one of my friends called UF a couple days ago, and they told him UF wouldn't give out any acceptances until next week. They made it sound like they haven't given out any offer ater Dec. 1. Apparently that's not true. Does that mean my friend might not get in? He interviewed in mid Dec. and he has good stats.

Anyway, good job stetsonjoe!

Congrats to all of my future classmates, Im really looking forward to meeting all of you. In regards to summer research, Im gonna pass. I plan on using the summer to travel as much as possible. Sounds like a great opportunity though, I would go for it if you enjoy doing research.

Congrats, I'll be there in August. Not doing the research program, I plan on traveling to Europe 🙂 Need a break before the school year starts. (Besides, over 2 yrs of research in undergrad is enough for me for now.) Go GATORS! 😀

I'm also throwing my hat in the ring on this one. UF, class of 2010 (just has a nice ring to it). I'm pretty sure (80%) i'll be doing summer research, but I have to admit that travelling again sounds awfully appealling too.
