Goljan USMLE Step I audio still useful for Step II?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would say no. That is unless you really unable to learn by other methods. I mean it totally won't hurt if your going on a long car ride and put it on. You will always learn something and laugh. But I think making a point of going through 37 audio lectures again is low yield. Plus all those enzymes and biochem crap doesn't matter. It's just not comprehensive for Step2.

No.

Biostats returns. Very basic micro (eg. gram-positive cocci in clusters). Very basic mechanisms of disease, which you'll also get on your shelf exams.

It's helpful to know pharm, but they don't throw in anything exotic like on Step I. I didn't see any drugs that weren't popping up regularly on the wards.

what about goljan's step 2 stuff? is that worth listening to?

I listened to all of Goljan's step II Medicine lectures and I thought they were very helpful.

I did 85 points better on step II than step I, my main review sources were First Aid, the Goljan lectures, and the Kaplan USMLE Step II Qbook.

You do not need to review any pathophysiology from the Goljan audio or notes. USMLEworld does a great job of reviewing the pertinents in their explanations.

The only topic I reviewed from Step 1 is Pharm and Epi from First aid for Step 1

i would disagree. I think it helped me. havent gotten my scores yet but it just reinforced what the usmle is looking for. I think if i was down to 2 choices i went with what he stressed. could have back fired??? will know soon
