I am thinking about going into ENT and I was wondering... What should I do with my electives? I am from Canada and I probably apply to Gen Surg as by back up. I believe that we have 4 electives before the match at my medschool... What should I do? Should I do away electives? Should I do only 1 elective in ENT and the rest in other specialities of interest to me? What kind of electives would look good when I apply to ENT while still giving me some chance to enter into gen surg if I don't match in ENT?
