Hi, right now I am on my M-3 medicine rotation and have been going through and memorizing "First Aid for the Medicine Clerkship." Yes, it's made by the same FA company that makes FA for Step I.

I think that during the 2nd year, it would be a good idea to go through this book while you review Pathology. Virtually ALL Pathology questions you'll encounter on the Step I will be clinical vignettes, but neither FA or BRS Path do an excellent job of giving you good "clinical pictures."

This will NOT work for everybody and, luckily I go to a PBL school where clinical presentation understanding was not a problem. If you want a more clinically-oriented approach to reviewing Path, this would be a good and inexpensive pick-up. Of course this will not be sufficient for Path, but I think it will make an excellent supplement. 🙂

Good luck.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I need to start studying for the USMLE's early so hopefully I can take that book out of the library and check it out.
