I know I posted a similar thread not too long ago but this is starting to cause me extreme anxiety and need advice. So I have a 3.9 GPA, 510 MCAT....but no LORs from my current university. I never got to know any professors after I came here...
This week however I emailed 2 of my CC professors (from 3 years ago) and they said they would write me LORs (1 PhD biology teacher, and an english teacher with a masters)...I actually got to know them due to the small class size.

But for my last LOR, (2nd science LOR)...I don't know what to do. Should I ask a professor at my university whose class I aced last year but I've never talked to, or go back to CC and ask my chemistry instructor (non-PhD) who would probably write me a better more personal letter?

Would it look really weird getting all my professor LORs from CC?
Although, I do have a PI at my university who might write me a decent LOR for the supplemental part though...

Thanks for your help guys
I hope after all this work I don't screw up my chances with something like this

If you transferred into a university, you should get an LOR from that university. That means if you're a 4th year and you have a few weeks left of school, hop into office hours and get to know one of your professors. If you already graduated, drive back down to your school, hop into office hours and get to know one of your professors.

There's nothing wrong with LORs from CC professors that you did well with, but, once you transfer, people expect you to be performing well at your alma mater as well. Some med schools even require LORs to be from your alma mater. If you apply to schools that don't have that policy, I don't think your chances will be horribly affected, but just try to get good ones from your current school.

I think it would really help to get letters from your university. In some way, they want to know how you compare to other students at your University. It would help to have a letter from CC from someone who knows you well, but this would not be as useful to the medical school in terms of comparing you to other students who will be applying to their school.
