Submitting AMCAS tomorrow, applying low-mid tier schools... should I wait or apply? Thanks for any suggestions or comments...

As long as you apply broadly I think you'll be fine. You seem to have alot of significant ECs and Your MCAT is well above average. Yea you're GPA is low but I think if you apply in a good range youll be getting those interviews. Might get a couple of questions about the gpa but I'm sure you got a good excuse ;p. I know what you mean about illness, I was sick for 2 years of my undergrad with a chronic condition which basically caused me to wake up 3 times during the night, its really tough. (I had deviated septum + chronic sinus infections for a two years before I had the surgery done).

Thanks for replying. This whole process can be a bit overwhelming. I'd like to think I'm applying broadly, (20 schools with diverse profiles) but only time will tell now. I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. We both know it makes everything all the more difficult. I'm just not trying to talk about it too much in the app cause it could probably been seen in two ways, either as an obstacle I've overcome or another reason I may not be fit for med school. Anyway... I appreciate your comment. Best wishes!

PS: I checked out your profile. Looks like you've got a great app going. I'd be interested to learn about your neuro research... Good luck!
