Hello guys, with the upcoming cycle I'm so paranoid about my lacking ECs.
I do have good numbers:
3.8 gpa (both science and overall)
22aa/ 24ts/ 23 pat
I have about 250 hours of shadowing and about 50 hours of volunteer experience.
I was involved in a research for a semester, but didn't contribute a whole lot.
How competitive am I? Do I have good chances to get accepted?

I think you'll do just fine. Don't be neurotic.
If I were you, I'd continue to volunteer and increase your hours. Everything else seems fine. Apply early and write a good personal statement. I'm pretty sure you'll land some acceptances.

Don't listen the the idiot above. If you don't shadow another second, or do even one thing extracurricular between now and Dec 3 you will be accepted to multiple schools based on your grades and dat alone. I wouldn't even waste time on a personal statement, just type up a page from your local phone book, submit that. Go get weird, stop worrying about getting accepted, its a done deal.

if you are worried, then go volunteer more to make yourself feel better. might as well volunteer if you don't want to take ANY chances.
