Hello, I am looking for summer dental research programs/internships preferably sponsored by any (dental) schools in New York.
I have been searching for this for a long time, but I couldn't find anything.

Has anyone done something like this? please let me know if there is a good opportunity...

P.S: If you "think" some research programs or any extracurricular activities got you into the dental school, what would that be?

I do not know of any programs specific to dental research, but have you thought about other public health research areas?

My thesis project is assessing exposure to secondhand smoke at outdoor bars and family restaurants using salivary cotinine as a biological marker. Every interview I went on last year, the interviewers loved this project and asked me a ton of questions.

Therefore, if you cannot find any dental research programs, try your college's public health school/dept, if they have one. I think any type of public health research will benefit you.

I was accepted to 3 schools this year. Two years ago, before I began my master's program, I did not even receive any interview invites!

try nyu. I am from berkeley ca, and got a dental research at ucsf . To be honest, it is just one e-mail or call that is all you need to get that position. Try calling or emailing faculty, or just get in contact with oral science research director at nyu and ask him to forward your email to professors.
