good time to take the DAT?

Hi everyone. I'm applying this upcoming cycle (2010) and have yet to take the DAT for the first time. I was wondering what would be the latest date to take the DAT and still be considered as an early applicant for dental schools. Considering that we get three chances to take the DAT, but have to wait 3 months in between. I just want to know so I can manage my time while studying.

If anyone wants to share or recommend when they took the DAT it would be great. Thanks!

March would be ideal because if you do bad, you can retake it in early June and still be an early applicant. Assuming you havnt starting studying yet, I would take it in May after enough hard work, so you do not have to take it again, and then apply right after.
