congrats but,

a lot of pre-meds on here don't even have II's and

for the few that have acceptances, like no one really knows where they'll be committed to 100% yet

so congrats again but,

this kind of post is really for February Facebook groups

*not trying to be a downer or say you're humble bragging, but I just feel for those pre-meds on here who see stuff like this and get anxiety (and prob delete their account and go to reddit)

For what it’s worth though, congrats on your acceptance and all the best in the future!! Philadelphia is my favorite city and you’re gonna love it there 🙂
 
FWIW, I do not think OP was making this thread to make others feel bad. I have seen her in the Pitt forum, and from what I gather, she is a reapplicant, so I am sure this acceptance is extra exciting for her.

There is no to need make comments that may bring someone down (whether they are meant to be jokes or not). Not everyone is a consistent user of sdn, and thus, not everyone knows the etiquette/do's and donts of this forum. I do agree with not posting personal information on here, though.

Congrats on the acceptance! And good luck to everyone else in this thread!

I don't think you'll get many posts from this. SDN tried school specific threads for accepted students in the past in the MD forums and it flopped so bad that they locked that part of the forum.

Plus I mean, you just doxxed yourself to several hundreds of people.
 
SDN is supposed to keep us together and stay supportive of one another. All of us have made silly mistakes on these threads so let's show a little bit of restraint before crucifying her!

Congrats OP! Not many can do what you have done but you are here now!

Imagine you decide to matriculate into Jeff and are an SDN user or lurker. Then you meet someone by the name of OP and think to yourself "hmmmm, I feel like I know you...." Then it hits you.
Or better yet. What if adcoms from Jeff are lurking on SDN and they find this post and think to themselves "what have we done?!?!?!?!?"

LOL frankly I'm only asking bc I'm wondering if it is a reflection on whether the school has a good/prestigious reputation. I know it's not a top school but it gets mentioned an awful lot on here

It has a good reputation in the city (grew up right outside Philly)...my guess is since they supposedly like applicants that show them a lot of love they end up admitting some fanatics
