I received my acceptance letter from CASE and it say this
"This acceptance is, of course, contingent on successful completion of your current college program and all entrance requirements before registration here. Prior to registration for the first term, it will be necessary to have forwarded an official transcript showing all the academic work you have completed and any degrees earned?"

So, does this mean I have to finish by master degree? I will finish my courses for sure but I don't know if i will finish my research project and defend before school starts

call them to see what you should do. So are you going to go to Case?

Most likely. If i get accepted at UBC then I will for sure go there because of the lower tuition and my family is there. I am still waiting for a reply from Nova and USC but I think I am leaning toward CASE. I really like the dental school at CASE, but I also love the nice weather in LA and Florida

What's your GPA/DAT like? Are you interviewing at UBC this week?

Case is too expensive for my tastes, but nice new facilities, just wish it wasn't in the ghetto

UBC looks at percent. So, I am around 81 percent and DAT Avg 22. If it is GPA then I will be around 3.5

How did you come up with a percent avg? Does your school give percentages? I have no idea how to calculate mine 😕 from a GPA. Anyhow, good luck with your interview. Your DAT is really good.

e.g. If your GPA is a 3.6 out of 4.0, then do (3.6/4.0) x 100 = 90%

How did you do on the QR, my friend?

I think it's a little more complicated than that... 90% in Canada is roughly a 3.9 according to certain % to GPA conversion charts. But there's no charts that indicate how to covert GPA to %. But the OP seems to know something that we don't... that's why I'm asking the OP.

BTW, my QR was a 19... I underestimated it and took my time, only to find myself with 10 questions left and 5 minutes to work with... Oh well.

I did my undergrad in UBC. Thanks. I think I need all the luck. I think based on my GPA and canadian DAT scores, I am probably in the lower end out of all the people that are invited for the interview

Don't sweat it... you've been offered an interview, you've got a great shot, especially if you're IP! Canadian school interviews are worth a lot, unlike most US interviews. Sometimes up to 50% of your ranking is based on your interview. US schools just use the interview to make sure you're not crazy... you actually have to impress during a Canadian interview to be successful.

It is true. The interview worths a lot. The interview is very structured. They have 7 questions and there is a right answer for each question. So, it is not like you can bs in the question. You have to give the answer that they expect in order to get very high mark. I am just curious. Are you interviewing at UBC this week too?

My interview was on Jan 7. I just received the acceptance letter yesterday. However, if you email David Dalsky, he may be able to tell you earlier. I emailed David Dalsky and he told me like one week later after my interview. However, for me, the deadline for my deposit is due on Feb 23. So, maybe the next round of acceptance will be after that. Good luck
