Don't worry. I think everyone is getting in that range. You have enough time to retry for 2008.

could u pl tell us how many marks or total out of 400 u scoreda nd also the raw score etc.. pl i jus took my exam on fri and really getting tensed abt the scoring curve. my paper was a liitle tough indeed.............ythanx a lott.

It's ok to get an 84...as long as you gave it your best shot
I would suggest you study a bit more and improve your score
With a better score you have lots of options

I got 84 ,too.the problem is that,i think you have to have connections.universal thing,i guess.i will try to re-take,but i am still not sure which materials are the best for studying.i remember seeing very odd questions and i just had no clue.i know 2 people..well,they said ,they had actually met foreign dental graduates admitted here in the us with scores ,like you an d i have.

i do remember seeing lots of unfamiliar ques.i dont know now wat should i do for improving my scores.may be i dont have the very latest released or unreleased exams , and also dont have very newer version of decks.

I think it's just a matter of some more time and effort. I had 3-4 yrs old Kaplans and decks and very old Asda papers which i studied from.But I still got 91 and in my first attempt.I am not bragging but I believe have a strong foundation and good basic knowledge and u'll be able to apply that to any question. My exam was full of Qs and topics i had not studied but i did not panic.I am a 2000 passout from college and studied sincerely for 3 months.The questions u feel are unfimilliar to u are same for everyone so donot get disheartened. All the best to you always.

me too gave the exam in feb end and got a score way below what i even dreamt of...just got 77. my exam was tough indeed but i definitely dont feel it was so bad...but i have no option but to retry with greater efforts now. can someone pls let me know if anyone has the newer kaplan materials and released papers. also if anyone is willing to share the online kaplan program where u can get the kaplan lecture notes and papers or if anyone has any other suggestions pls help.
naughtyandnice...i rememeber ur input after ur exam and i felt the same after mine...if ur willing to discuss things,may be we can try together for the re-exam.

Don't get disheartened. I got an 81 in my part 1 and was accepted into a program BUT i did also take Part 2 and only got an 80 in that also. I know you just want to get in as soon as possible but.......having Part 2 also will help and lessen the competition
Its not all based on scores- your application and dental experience goes a long way too - just to get a foot in the door and then impress them at the interrview!!!

Can all those who have taken the new format shed light on if the exam was tougher compared to the earlier ones, that is if u have retaken the exam? I saw in the forum, that those who have got the scores, seems to be below 90, the magical number. I have 89, and planning to retake the xam, but just worried seeing everyones scores. Plz guys ....any help is greatly appreciated.
