I thought maybe we could make a list of when our apps were verified, what secondaries we've gotten and when we were offered interviews. I think someone else might have tried to start this thread, but I can't find it so sorry if it's a repeat. I'll start....

...I guess that explains why I started this thread. I'm worried. All of my med school buddies tell me to relax, though. If we haven't received any secondaries by mid-August, then we can start to worry.

No secondaries for me yet, but I did get an e-mail from Jefferson today letting me know that they had recieved my application and that I would get an e-mail with a link to complete their secondary within 5 working days.

I'm so frustrated, I wanted to work on my secondaries the past few days, but we got hit with a storm and it knocked out my power at home, and my work computer blocks the site to check the e-mail account I gave to AMCAS!! So I can't even see if I've gotten secondaries! I've just been chillin thinking about all the work I could be getting done, and now another hurricane is headed at us, . . this is too frustrating!

Don't freak out! Sorry, I'm an in-state applicant and the e-mail recognized that fact. I assumed that they sent a similar e-mail to out-of-staters, but they might not. So, basically, sorry for not mentioning my residency in the first post and don't worry if you haven't got anything yet.

Other then that, I have not heard of anyone else saying they heard anything from NJMS. Just RWJ. I think you are the third person today to say you heard from RWJ.

This is just how premeds are. They often freak out like this til they get to medical school. I guess it has to do with how nerve wrecking the process is.

They usually simmer down after they get in medical school. But gettin in is an ordeal in and of itself.

Thats how random the process is. I was shocked when I got my stanford interview after other schools had rejected me post-secondary. And a few of the schools I applied to had high preference for in-staters, my bad. I look back and say I should have applied to more schools, but i didnt really know the process last year. I think my app will be much better this year. With more clinical, NIH, higher MCAT, MHS at hopkins, better recs, and more schools. I'm confidant i'll get in somewhere.

Hey! Fellow Louisianan here 🙂 Not anxious, just curious--have you heard any secondary news from LSU-NO (assuming you applied there)? Of course, I'm sure they're up to their elbows trying to start this process between hurricanes! 😉

I just got an email from the University of Miami that says you have to fill out a form on the website to get a secondary, UConn's secondary as well as MCW this morning. So much to do... 🙁

Haha, on the other hand, answers are generic because a lot of people feel that way. The family challenge answer is overwhelmingly generic, but I think it is very true...
