Why not just try your best even though you've already been accepted to a dental school?

All dental school acceptance invitations are contingent upon maintaining current academic standards according to your adea/aadsas application. It makes no sense to give them a reason to rescind their offer. Most intelligent students maintain academic excellence for reasons other than just to gain admittance into dental school. It's better to stay sharp and keep your foot on the pedal heading in.

Does it say that on aadsas or something, or is that made up?
I'm pretty sure that it varies among schools, and their expectations should be outlined in your acceptance letter. Some schools want you to perform at the same level that you have achieved, some (e.g UoP) wants at least B's, others just C's. Baylor just said "successful completion" of the future courses I outlined for them.
Put in the extra effort especially in classes that you'll be seeing again in dental school (biochem, histology, micro/immunology, anatomy, etc...), and keep in mind that your undergrad GPA may be considered if you plan on applying to any residencies after dental school.
I talked to some D4's at UF and they laughed when I said I was going to study for a test I had.
I agree that it is probably based on which school you are going to. Personally, I have an easy schedule so autopilot should be enough to maintain a 3.0 without any effort. Of course there are classes I will study for, I'm just not going to kill myself/beat myself up if I don't get that A.

Do you mean a GPA 3.0 per semester or just a cumulative GPA?
