So I am curious what are we expected to maintain after being accepted. Clearly I am not going to start getting Cs but would mainly Bs be normal to expect? Just curious. In my acceptance they didnt really specify.

Getting B's should be fine. But if I were you, I would keep my study ethic strong for the transition into med school.

My school had a rule that they had the right to rescind their offer if your application year GPA is at least 5% lower than your cumulative GPA.

So if your cumulative GPA was 4.0 and 4 x 5% = 0.2 .... 4.0 - 0.2 = 3.8. If you get less than ~3.8, you could get your offer rescinded. I realize no school would ever do this if someone got a 3.8 but then why even use this 5% system instead of saying one must maintain X GPA. Or am I misunderstanding the 5% thing?

I meant GPA in terms of percent average, eg. your cumulative is 85%, but your application year average is 77%, which is greater than a 5% difference.

Right but the point still stands that if you go from 100% to 94% it's more than a 5% difference. This rule is insane.

interesting. I can't image they would really do it though unless it was an extremely poor performance or it dropped your cumulative GPA significantly. I just can't see a school seriously complaining about your GPA if your cum is still above their average 😕
