So I know that the general formula is take the total grade points from each institution, add them up, and divide by the sum of the credit hours from each institution, but I was wondering how this works for schools with vastly differing systems for credit hours? For my undergraduate school, each class only received 1 credit (this included labs, which were used as a factor of the grade for the overall class). But at the school where I will be taking the rest of my prereqs (and other classes to boost my GPA), classes are 4 credits and labs are 1. Both are semester-based grades. There's a significant discrepancy between the value of each score here, so I was wondering how this would work. Does that formula still apply as is? Do I need to convert them to equivalent values somehow?
