I need advice, even though I know this topic may have been discussed before. I have been doing some research and I cannot seem to find the exact answer I am looking for, so I appreciate any advice.

I am considering applying to a SMP at one of the more well known schools like Georgetown, etc. I have above a 3.0 cumulative GPA which is a requirement. The only part that is lacking is my science GPA. Even though is some of the admission requirement they do not state an exact science GPA, only a 3.0 minimum GPA. What is the lowest a science GPA could be while still gaining acceptance into one of these great programs at the more well-known schools.

I have about a year left in undergraduate, so I am trying to plan ahead.

Thank you everyone!

I wouldn't be worried about the minimum GPA for admission. I'd be worried about whether I can ace a SMP when I have under a 3.0 sGPA. What are you going to do differently?

I had a 2.7 sGPA and was accepted to and completed a well known SMP

My science GPA is about a 2.7 now, but I have decent amount of science classes to take... About 8/9. I plan to do better, there are numerous reasons why I did bad (medical problems and family situations) and I am fixing them, in the end I take ownership for my mistakes or downfalls. I was just looking for opinions and advice. I know I can do it, I love it. I just need to turn over a new leaf and I am in the process of doing so. I just wanted to know obtainable with stats now it is.
