GPA vs. DAT

I am starting to freak out since my DAT is in three days, but I was wondering how important DAT scores are compared to GPA. My AADSAS calculated GPA was 4.0.... so can i afford to do pretty mediocre on the DAT? I almost feel like it would look bad if I have a 4.0 and get just an average DAT score. Any idea?

I'd agree with you. If you have a 4.0 GPA you should be able to back that up by doing well on the DAT. If not, it injects some doubt into your GPA and perhaps adcoms will figure you took easy classes or were the beneficiary of grade inflation, etc.

doc toothache brings up the point that this applicant's GPA and DAT were "out of sync"...

Of course, you're still in better position having a 4.0 GPA vs. not and you're more likely to do well on the DAT having done well in your classes.
