I think this varies from school to school. I think most do look at another gpa, but you should tell your g-friend (girlfriend?) to contact individual schools to check what they place more of an emphasis on. If the pharm school if a pharmcas school however, they will have access to the applicant's science gpa, non-science gpa, math gpa, and individual gpa's for each college campus. These pharmcas gpa's include grades for all repeated classes! However, despite having access to these pharmcas gpas, most schools require a separate prereq sheet included in their supplemental application to calculate prereq gpas-- some might even take the higher grade for a repeated course. It depends on the school. UH looks at cumulative and math/science gpa seperately, and also look at the PCAT (some schools don't). Your best bet would be to contact the school that you are looking at and ask them. They would have more information for you.
