So assuming I apply before my 4th undergrad year, when I submit my application I'm really just submitting my GPA for the first 3 years, correct? So in reality all these GPA's we see are just GPA's for everyone's first three years? How do 4th year grades then factor in? I'm sure some of would need those extra A's to boost up that GPA...

Those fourth year grades factor in if they're really good or really bad, basically. If they're really bad, you might get an acceptance revoked. If they're really good, and you're not getting in anywhere, then you can send update letters to your top choices and let them know how you're doing (really well, hopefully!) to boost your chances of an interview/acceptance.

Otherwise, they don't really matter.

oh okay. thanks =)

If you get an A in a particularly difficult class, send that info in to the admission's office. Keeping them updated on your progress will help, and show that you are interested in their program.
