GPR after applying to OMFS

Just curious if anybody had this experience and know the process of how it works (application and timelines). Instead of an internship, if the applicant decides to pursue a GPR knowing that he/she isn't matched to OMFS, how does he/she go about applying to a GPR instead of an internship? (let's say that if he/she changed his/her mind about OMFS) Can you still look into post match and apply to a GPR program?

You can always post match...you can even apply simultaneously to OMFS and GPRs. If you decide to post match though, you are at the mercy of whatever is available...and there are some terrible GPRs out there that aren't worth a year of your life.

I was wondering the same thing. I am assuming we need all new LORs and a new PS.....
