So far this year I have interviewed at 6 GPR and AEGD positions through out the upper midwest. Of them most were non-match programs. I had made a tentative ranking of the programs based on my interests. I was offered a spot right away by the program I would have ranked as my 2nd favorite, at the time the program which was my favorite had offered all of their positions and all of their applicants had accepted. So left with that I accepted the position at my 2nd choice, and signed a letter accepting their offer. I was just offered a position at the program which was my number one choice. I would like to withdraw from my second choice and accept my first. Any recommendations about how I should go about doing so? Has anyone had a problem doing this with non-match programs?
