Hey guys....as a Canadian, I just wanted to know the approximate average for an undergraduate class....both science and other in an AMerican university! Could you give it to me in both letter grade, GPA and percentage?

At the University of Toronto, a science class usually has a class average of C+ (2.3) , which is about a D in the American system...dont u guys think that is harsh? Im still so pissed that my GPA will not be adjusted for American standards! I really hope adcoms take this into consideration!

i think C is a 2.0.
D is 1.
in US.

Hey,

Try using the AADSAS conversion system for your GPA instead of the American undergrad system. I'm not sure if it's the same, but at least it will give you a better idea of where you stand.

2.3 is a C+ in the US

1.0= D

1.7= C-

2.0 = C

2.3 = C+

2.7 = B-

3.0 = B

and so forth for the rest.

At least this was the way GPA's were calculated in the Florida University system.

Out of curiosity, what is the Canadian conversion of letter grade to GPA?

Oh yeah, about the avg score

At my undergrad school they tried to make the class avg a 70. So if the class avg was a 68, they gave a 2 point curve at the end of the term.

Not too many curved classes bec the avg for my science classes was always around 75
