Grade Maintenance question

Hey, I know most schools require you to keep up your grades until you enter dental school; but I was just wondering how strict these kinds of policies are. I know each school is different, but for example UNLV says to keep a B.

I ask because right now I have a C+ in Biochem without taking the final so Id rather take the C+ and not do the final if i don't have to. It's probably not that big of a deal but was just wanting to see if anyone knew before I shoot myself in the foot or outright call the school to find out. Thanks.

I submitted a 'Credit/Non-Credit' form to get a 'Credit', not to ruin my gpa.

If you've got a C+ without taking the final, you might as well go in without studying, get like a 20%, and get a B. You don't want to put yourself in a position where it could matter.

hmmm so you have a C+ and if you dont take the final you maintain your C+? At my undergrad if I had a C+ and didnt take the final I would fail the course (because you are taking a 0 for the final). So how is getting a 20% on the final bump him up to a B? Not trying to be rude or anything Im just curious🙂

Ah, i guess i should have explained better. We get to drop 1 test so if i don't take the final then that will just count as my dropped test. So if I were to take it I would have to put in a little bit of effort into studying etc. haha. this is making me sound super lazy; which i guess isn't too far of. lol

Pretty much. Just put some studying into it and do your best. It can only help you get that B and insure that you will get into UNLV (or whatever school you are worried about).
