Question 1) My friend took General Chemistry 1 and got a B the first time. He retook the class at another university in hopes of getting an A but ended up with a C. Will DO schools count the B or the C grade?

Both classes are the same credit which one would count the B (taken the first time) or C (taken the second/last time)?

Question 2) If you have a D in a pre-requisite such as Organic chemistry lab 1 can you still apply to DO schools or will they reject you?

Question 3) How bad is it to retake a class at a community college even if the MCAT score is high?

Thanks!

The most recent grade would count (i.e. the C grade).

Almost all (if not all) schools require a C or above in pre-requisites. Retake the course and get a C or above.

It doesn't matter where the courses are retaken, provided they fulfill the AACOMAS course replacement requirements (i.e. they are the same course with the replacement being of equal or greater credit hours). There is no problem with taking any courses at a CC.
