Does anyone know of any graduate intern positions anywhere in northeast? I want to start helping out my family and am really having trouble finding something...its getting a little disheartening just waiting.

Join the club. You're not the only one. I have no job and no health insurance. On top of that I've had car repairs because my landlord decided to back up into my brand new 2011 Toyota Corrolla that was parked in her drive way and blames the accident on me because I wasn't parked close enough to the bushes. She was at fault of course, but had no insurance so it went through mine anyway. Then, I got the car out of the bodyshop today, and was in the left turning lane approaching an intersection, about to turn left when some1 in the right lane decided to plow into the right side of my car without looking, and then drove off. Luckily I got her tag number, but I have to go back to the bodyshop again. Why is it that when it rains it pours?

I believe the point of residency is not knowledge per se, it's experience. Kind of like rotations except you're licensed and legally liable for stuff.

It's not knowledge, it's the application of that knowledge. And on the same note, you would be surprised at the amount of knowledge that IS taught in pharmacy schools but graduates don't have a good understanding of.

This may or may not count as the Northeast depending on your definition, but southern Delaware often has pharmacist positions, not sure about grad intern though.

grad intern? isn't that a registered pharmacist or is that when you have a pharmD, but no license....

In most instances, a Grad Intern is someone who has graduated from pharmacy school but hasn't passed the boards yet. It could also refer to a foreign grad who has passed the FPGEE and is now getting intern hours before being allowed to take the boards.

I have no idea, but I jumped into a 50:50 clinical job right out of school and I was fine. Hell, I did some stuff I was commended on frequently...

Of course, the people running the place could have just been so stupid that I only appeared to be supernewb. Don't have enough of a basis of comparison.
