Is it possible to graduate with high or highest honors from pharm school? The school I will be attending has tons of research opportunities, and I was wondering if pharm school was like undergrad in that you can do a honors thesis to graduate magna or suma cum laude.

I think it depends upon the school. Mine did not have any honors designations. I'm curious - are you asking out of curiousity or are you interested in how acheiving honors might affect your prospects beyond pharmacy school? In any case...if you acheive honors you should be extremely proud of your accomplishment!

UF requires an honors thesis starting with the class of 2008. I'm class of 2007, so I don't have to do one. Not that it matters anyway, my GPA is only 3.3

UNC-CH has an honors program. You apply during your first year and do a little research project sometime after that (in addition to all the normal coursework).

MWU-CPG: honors are solely based on didactic-course GPA.

3.25-3.49: cum laude
3.50-3.74: magna cum laude
3.75-4.00: summa cum laude

Hmmm....looks like I went to the wrong school; we have an "honors program" that requires certain "honors classes" so you can get anything above a Cum Laude. You have to be accepted into the program though, which is also difficult.

These are Butler's requirements (Indianapolis):

"There are three levels, most of which require the completion of the University Honors Program:

* Cum Laude
GPA of 3.7, or 3.5 GPA and the University Honors Program
* Magna Cum Laude
GPA of 3.7 and the University Honors Program
* Summa Cum Laude
GPA of 3.9 and the University Honors Program

Department Honors
There are three levels:

* Honors
GPA of 3.6 in the major (this is not awarded to students receiving their degree Cum Laude)
* High Honors
GPA of 3.7 in the major plus either an approved thesis or a passed comprehensive exam
* Highest Honors
GPA of 3.4 with 3.8 in the major plus an approved thesis and a passed comprehensive exam "

It will depend on the school though. I believe Butler is one of two schools that has a program like this. Anyone else have something like this?

It doesn't really matter. PX is more prestigious on a CV anyway

Hardly any students are accepted from out of state. UF gives strong preference to Florida residents. Currently the combined MPH degree is not offered, I think it's under revision. We do have combined degrees with JD, PhD, and MBA. All the info you need is on the UF COP website.
