that's it? I was hoping to get more for them with the Pharm.D.

I figure the fertility drugs would be the best incentive to not get involved with the locals where I ended up for residency...

You ended up in Arkansas?

With the economy, they can pay less, because it's a dog-eat-dog world out there. 😛 I would guess that eggs are less valuable right now. Who wants to have a kid that they can't support?

Good luck with your residency! I couldn't/wouldn't do it. :scared: Eight years of college is enough for me, at least for a while.

I'm sure you could get a high paying job in Detroit!

Currently southeast Michigan is one of the most saturated areas. At least as far as hospital jobs go. And that's not just my personal opinion. I talked to a few headhunters, a few pharmacists - they all agree. The reason behind is that Michigan is one of the easiest states for foreign graduates to get licensed. I guess it has something to do with Michigan laws.
I will be graduating in May. I applied to almost all southeast Michigan hospitals. Got only 4 interviews and only one offer. Which I grabbed.

JackFruitLover, why not move to another part of the country, besides South Florida? My aunt works at Walgreens in Palm Beach County, and they keep on firing pharmacists due to the company trying to save money through the "POWER" program. However, in North Carolina, Rite-Aid is still good. They are not pulling what Walgreens and CVS are doing. Also, you could try Kroger, Food Lion, or Wegman's. This problem that is happening in Florida does NOT seem to be happening in North Carolina.
