Hi, does anyone know if there are any grants or scholarships out there for retaking college courses (if you've graduated already) to help boost GPA? I;ve been out of school for 3 years and want to retake some sci classes. I don;t make bank enough to afford it though.

I think you might be able to receive some grant money through financial aid, if you come back to school as a second degree seeking student.

As a second degree seaking, we are universially screwed from what I've found. Only thing I've found we qualify for are loans. And if you aren't seeking a second degree (like I'm not, but for the purpose of funding I am) I've found NADA.

Wait so you ARE a 2nd-degree seeking student for monetary purposes? Can you apply for grants as a degree-seeker, than at the end, drop out? would you need to give it all back/

Ive not found any grants for this situation so idk... Loan people don't care as long as they get their $$$ back. If I drop below half time I go into deferrment for six months

To my knowledge, financial aid office does not provide grants nor scholarships to the student who have already obtained a bachelor degree from a 4 years college, or being in an undergrad program for more than 5 or 6 years, or coming back to attend a graduate/certificate program.

You can't get anything once you have a bachelors. Per fafsa, it automatically disqualifies you from anything. You can, however, get a loan. It sucks financially to come back to school.

Thanks for this. Makes me feel 100% better about being too lazy to look for scholarships.
