GRE Codes Help

[ank20]

Can someone help me better understand the difference between the "Program (PTCAS) GRE code" and the "University GRE code". The PTCAS page about this confused me and I just want to make sure I do everything right when I retake the GRE next Friday (took it last summer and didn't send scores). Can someone just walk me through the process of sending scores and what do do if you have more than 4 programs to send your scores to and if your program lists both "Program (PTCAS) GRE code" and the "University GRE code". Thanks in advance.

Check the program’s page and confirm which GRE code they want you to use. But most programs, if not all, wanted me to send scores to the Program PTCAS GRE Code, which gets the scores sent directly to PTCAS. If you send to the University GRE code, it goes to the university itself.

You can send 4 scores for free right after you take the GRE. You have to pay on the ETS website to send more scores after that.

Hi thanks for the help! If the program only lists the university gre code, do I need to do anything else besides using that code? Since its not going to PTCAS I wasn't sure if I would have to do anything else with my score for that specific program.
