I'm a senior in college, applying to physical therapy schools. I have taken the GRE once already, and have met the minimum requirement for the top schools of my choice. Unfortunately I have BARELY met this requirement because I am absolutely awful at tests such as these. I am planning on taking it again, and am in the process of studying for it, I'm just concerned that it won't get much better and don't want a test like this to hurt my application in any way. I feel that the rest of my stats are good, (3.5 cumulative, 3.6 pre-req, 3.8 upper division, over 100 hours of volunteer/shadowing)-therefore the GRE is my only concern right now :-\
I guess my question is- how important is the GRE score?? Am I okay because I have met the minimum? Or do I need to seriously figure out how the heck to raise my score?!

From what I've HEARD most places worry about prereq gpa and overall gpa over gre scores and use them for just a background. However, if your top choices are 1,2,3 on gre scores at the apta.org site then you may want to either take it again or find a "safe" school. I THINIK the gpa/experience coupled with a sound application will suffice.

what is the avg min gre score for most schools, from what i've seen its 800-1000. 800 which seems pretty low
