I would like to retake the GRE and get a better score, however the soonest I can retake it would be on 9/14. On the ISU website, the school to which I am applying; it says that the last date to retake the exam is 9/15. I was wondering is it possible to receive your scores between 9/15 and the required submission date of 10/1? When I took the GRE the first time the score report took the full 15 days to get to my mailbox. I guess I am most worried about how it will effect my VMCAS app. as I feel I might not recieve my percentiles in time to enter them into the app.

The scores don't have to be entered into the VMCAS. As long as you designate your vet school(s) of choice when you are at the testing center, that school will receive those scores from ETS. Putting them on VMCAS is just extra. You can just put on the VMCAS that you plan to take the GRE on 9/14, and if you get the scores before the deadline you can enter them, and if not, it doesn't hurt because the schools should still get the scores in time. And if the schools don't get the scores on time, you're not out anything you weren't already out if you never retook the test in the first place, know what I mean? So I'd say go for it, and as a suggestion don't wait until 10/1 to send in the VMCAS in case there's computer problems or something from the high volume of apps being submitted around the last couple weeks of September.
