So, I finally got that blasted test over with!

I picked my 4 schools at the end of the test, but what I'm wondering is...since I haven't applied yet to these schools, will they just hang onto my scores and assume that I'll be applying this summer? Just feels weird to be sending off score reports to schools that have no idea who I am. 😕

Most schools will keep stuff on file for a while. They know you haven't applied, so I think it gets put in a file for the upcoming app cycle.

What you can always do is call them just to make sure. But I am fairly certain that you're fine - don't stress about this one...there will be plenty of opportunities to stress about with the application.

Yep! That's what I did. Of course, I later e-mailed the college and verified that they had received my score reports. Other schools may have different ways of confirming that they have your score reports. Depends on where you apply.

I suspect the applications will be a piece of cake compared to the stress I felt about the GRE! My first practice test last Fall I only got a 490 on the math section. I've been studying my butt off for months. Nobody gets into vet school with a math score like that. I almost threw up on the way to the testing center this morning I was so nervous. Thank goodness, all that studying paid off and I did well. I'd gladly fill out 20 applications rather than go through THAT again! 😛

I'll take your advice about verifying receipt of scores with the admissions offices, just to make sure that they hang onto them. Thanks!

Congrats for being done and props for finishing so early (I took mine Sept 31 I think, lol!)!!!!!

And like everyone said, just follow up with schools and you should be fine. And ordering additional score reports is a piece of cake, you never even have to talk to a real person.

I took the GRE in July, and none of the schools had trouble keeping my scores until I applied.
