Hey all, I'm planning on applying to a PhD program for Microbiology for next fall. I am scheduled to take the GRE September 24, and I've been using the Manhattan Book Prep Series. I have 2 out of 8 of the books left to go through, but I'm planning on taking my first practice test today. I have taken the MCAT a couple of times, could anyone give me a comparison of that test and the GRE? I also have little idea if I'm on the right track for studying efficiently for this test. I leave for vacation on Saturday for a week, so I wanted to get at least one practice test in before that since I'll be doing minimal studying on the trip. I also have almost all of the Kaplan 500 vocabulary flash cards memorized. Was debating on whether I should postpone the GRE until the second weekend in October, but that would get my scores to my school at the first part of November with a deadline of December 1st. Any thoughts and guidance would be appreciated!
