gross anatomy imp topics

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Understand where things are relative to each other in cross section.

Understand key structures like rotator cuff and the knee *very* well.

Know surface landmarks. Hand bones. Foot bones.

Innervation and vascular supply of the gut. Vascular supply to the heart.

If I had to pick the most important topics.

Brachial Plexus, it's braches, and what parts of the hand/finger do they innervate

Rotator cuff

Abdominal Vasculature.

Innervation of the leg food, and losing what nerves causes what walking patterns and what sensory loss.

For abdomen and thorax, know what organs touch what (tumor starts here and spreads laterally, what'll it hit next. Often can be a third order question.)

huh, important anatomy for step 1, that is an oxymoron, i had like 5 pure anatomy questions, and maybe 5 embryo, that's it. Just know your basic stuff- compartments, innervations, relationships, etc

it seemed like a lot of my anatomy was in the form of radiographs and CTs...so if you decide to spend a substantial amount of time on anatomy, be sure to try to be comfortable with these.

Beyond that, I had 2 brachial plexus qs.

bumping to see if anyone could suggest a good site/book for board relevant radiographs/CTs... Is it worth to buy HY Gross just for the pictures?

is kaplan anatomy worth doing? I heard it is good for neuroanatomy, but what about all the vascular stuff. they have all the arterial supplies of the face, skull foramen, abdominal stuff etc...

or just hy anatomy?
