Unsure of what to put for my AMCAS ethnicity. Guamanian is an option, which is defined as somebody who was born in Guam. I have no native blood but was born there (a native of Guam is Chamorro similar to how a native of Hawaii is Hawaiian). I am Caucasian by blood through and through.

It's tempting to put Guamanian but to be honest I don't particularly identify with Guam in any other way. I was raised on another pacific island and have spent little time in Guam since my birth. I called AMCAS and the woman I spoke to said "it's really up to you how you identify yourself."

I just don't want for others to feel like I'm claiming to be something I'm not... But by definition I am Guamanian. Any advice on this?
