Regular ass pepperoni. Don't worry, it stays fresh for weeks. They were invented by Italian coal miners' wives as a meal that could be eaten in the mines without being heated up. There are contests to see who makes the best one in the state. Just be glad I'm not threatening to send you ramps. Or Chitlins.

Well, I certainly don't talk that way. I admit that there are some funky accents in Kentucky... if you think it's bad in Louisville you should see far east or far west. My family is from the western part and some of them, whew!

But I think Louisville is a lot more fun than you experienced. Did you go anywhere besides the stadium? Where did you stay?
 
There were Bars...and a baseball bat factory....and horses. Eh, just not my kind of town. Don't take it personal. A WHOLE LOT of people hate Pittsburgh, but it's one of my favorite places I've ever been to.

The one thing I didn't get.

Why is Papa John's pizza so nasty in Louisville? It's ok from the franchise in WV, but the pie I got delivered to my room was comparable to cardboard.
 
Actually, I've got a whole stash of Xopenex coupons I've wrapped up with pretty red & green ribbon for Zpak - you think he'll like it?

A pepperoni roll sounds awful!!! Sliced on a pizza could be good...but do you just eat it - like a hot dog or something?

Cyclo - your dad knows just what the 25th is all about - jewelry works! At least for mine it did - it ended up being the best part of the day (9-11-2001). My husband never forgets the day anymore!🙁

I got 12 more years till the 25th. I better start saving up for the "Jewelry."

OK, if you don't like that stuff I can see how you'd be bored. Especially if you stayed downtown. A lot of people like Fourth Street Live, though. I don't drink but it is kind of cool...

I don't know what happened to your pizza. Papa John's is usually fairly reliable. You should have called and got your money back. Papa John can afford it!

I would be so happy if we had a Papa John's in the area where I live. We have zero pizza delivery restaurants. There's a Pizza Hut take out place about 10 miles away, but they won't deliver that far. I'd take crappy Papa John's over no Papa John's.
 
y'all should be greatful to just have a pizza restaurant, even if you do have to drive there, *sigh* I miss the Zig Zag Inn.
