HI,

I am a foreign trained dentist and planing to give NBDE part 1. Can anyone guide me which material to go for? Which review book, editions etc. How important are dental decks?

Would really appreciate some input.

Regarding the dental decks I can tell you they are important only if you have thorough knowledge of the topic and then go through them for additional knowledge.....they have some very good and specific knowledge so they should be used as supplementary materials..not as the only material....

I am reading thoroughly from my own Text Books, then I do Dental Decks and then ASDA Released Papers....and then I ordered NBDE First-Aid Part 1 because I have heard a lot about that book as a very good book for revision and for important topics....I have not yet read from it though....

And then ASDA Released Papers are very good for practice and to have a sense of the test and I have heard about 40% exam is repeated questions.....

Yes, because I have been out of school for 3 years.....I need to go through them cover by cover and page by page.....I booked my test in November 2009.....So I plan to study very thoroughly...And first I thought it would be hard to learn them thoroughly but it was not and I am very satisfied....I finished DA in 12 days.....and Biochem and Physio together in 15 days each.....

hi, m new 2 this forum.can u pls guide me.dere r some questions in my mind actually about how 2 proceed.
if nbde-1 sufficient to get into a dental school?
then ven 2 give nbde-2?
is dis make any difference if give both d exams n den apply into dental school?
if i want 2 take addmission in 2010 den vat month shud i plan 2 take d exam?i still have'n given toefl n even have'n even applied 4 evaluation
pls guide me.m really worried about d procedure.

The first step u shud do is apply for ece and if u want to get admission in 2010,its high time u must take exam in 2009 since there are rule changes from 2010 as u can read from other threads.👍

thanx dear, but i think its not possible 4 me 2 give exam dis year.if i give exam in 2009 den vat time i'll get addmission means 2 say in which month addmissions occur n vat shud b d time gap b/w exam n addmission or interview vatever?????????
