i am done with my part 2 and i guess you dont need more than 3 months for clearing it up with a good score.i referred to dental decks,kaplan review notes and old released papers.just go through this stuff and u will be fine.i hope this helps and by the way i have my kaplan book for sale if u need it mail me,take care,bye.

Hi guys. I also applied in the same schools. Bu said they'll be calling me for an interview in mid April. NYU: reviewing my application. They took out some faults and told me to send more documents. SUNY: Will tell in June. UPenn: Rejected.

It is indeed relieving to see all these messages. I have applied to the same colleges too. Still waiting for a reply. Does anybody have any information about Columbia? I wanted to know about the bench test in particular.

Frankly i have no precise info about bench test in columbia, but generally as in other schools it must include basically tooth preparation for crown,class-2 amalg restoration,partial denture framework,as for temple even teeth setting.

Well, I have'nt heard anything yet from BU....
and I am really surprised that you were able to get through to Kevin there at BU. Whenever I call or email him I dont get him, or a reply... real strange.
Anyways, I have given up all hope for this year, will have to try next year..
Also, I heard from NYU they said that they have not made a decision on my app yet as they think they are full. They said that as soon as they get some vacancy they will make a decision and let me know.
So, thats my position. Keep me posted if something turns up for you. Best of luck....

I got a letter from boston university saying they are full for the year. That is because I sent in my application pretty late ( applied online- submitted on march 1st). They'll be considering my application for the next year now ( I didnt get any interview).

Just take that as one person's opinion. Everyone has different expections from schools. Iam sure if you liked it so far, then that's the school for you.

HI everyone,
Its nerveracking waiting for schools to response&the thought of waiting another year to get into school.i guess everyone goes through this phase.i haven't heard from any school.so kind of making my over stressed brains to understand ,its all part of game.May be now start for part-2,even few advanced standing students gave that advise.
Is anyone working in a clinic right now,coz ih am, got it after bugging every dentist nearby.may be we could talk about our experiences.
And hey about people's opinion about NYU,it depends on what prospective everyone sees it,i din't want to in the begining,then heard from many others
positive points:-you get lot of clinical exposure,many patients .for people who want good patient exposure °ree to pursue the career this is more than enough,they say what else you need, study part one can always refer to books. this is what the dentists(from nyu) i came acroos said.Fee is definately high , if you have patience &no depression attacks to sit 1 more year one can always look for other school
and about placement in postgraduate courses it mostly depends on how you put in efforts.
This is my opinion,everyone sees in different way its ok.

By the way, whats the fee difference from NYU and BU? Also, I m taking Part2 in April 2/3.
Hows ur prep coming along? I find the radiographs pretty stressful as they are pretty low in quality.
