Hey. I know there's an old thread but I wanted to start a new conversation about using GT during rotations and step 2 based on this response to my inquiry about their upcoming Step 2 release: (this may only interest those of us that used the GT system for 2nd year classes who wanted to continue using something similar)
Re: Step 2 - YES! We are working on it! And, since there is so much overlap between the two tests, we are going to have them be 1 program but with the ability to filter our topics and questions that are only Step 1.
We are planning on releasing bits and pieces to current members as soon as possible (possibly in July)! Then, we hope to have the complete program ready to go by this September (2012 of course!).
In addition, we are also going to release a USMLE-like question bank that will rival USMLEWorld and Kaplan qBank for Step 1 and Step 2! One great thing you can do with this is see what concepts are associated with a USMLE-like question, and see your prior performance on them to get an idea of WHY you got the question wrong. UWorld or Kaplan can't do that. Fun times ahead!
What do you think about using this tool going forward?
