If your school records it as an institutional action and you don’t report it on AMCAS, prepare yourself to not be accepted anywhere. AAMC will perform an investigation, and it may nullify your application. IAs are required to be reported, even if they have been expunged or deleted from your record.Would something this small make a difference to the app dahat if i dont report it?
I'm missing the reason why this is worthy of a breach of the student conduct policy at your institution. If you received a documented institutional action, you may have to report it on AMCAS, no matter what your feelings are that you didn't do it. Granted, we only have a snapshot of your perspective, but there's no way we can help advise you without the facts that resulted in this sanction.Got an ia written warning sanction for going multiple times to get mcat tutoring at our school even tho this is false and i had evidence going against the claim they still charged me with disrupting school event. How will this effect my app? This is senior yesr happend and i apply next yr. Is this a serious ia or one of the ones no one cares about? Will my app be thrown out?
When keeping it real goes wrongHe had an attitude problem so i asked to speak to him outside the center. I spoke to him in which he said racist things to me after which i recorded the convo and said i would speak to his supervisor.
This should have been your 1st plan, not your 2nd. I'm not saying don't stand up for yourself. But this wasn't the right battle. You didn't get the IA for "going multiple times to tutoring." It was because you picked a fight. Why would you ever need to "talk outside?"However since i am graduating i decided to drop it and move on with life.
Can you get a letter from this Dean stating his opinion on the matter?I spoke to the dean of student affairs who said that i was right that it is odd but their is nothing he could do since he doesnt control the process
Yes that is what happend. I appealed and the officer for appeal said it is my word against staff and went with the staff therefore denting my appeal.Okay, I was envisioning someone who disrupted graduation by unfurling a banner or flag (a lot of that going on these days) so this was not what I was expecting.
It sounds like someone with racist/bias had you written up and the school gave you a written warning for disrupting the tutoring center. Is that correct? I presume that this warning is in your file and describes the unacceptable behavior that you've been told not to engage in again. You should use your rights under FERPA (google it if it is unfamiliar) to examine your record and determine just what you've been written up for.
Describe what it says in your record, note what you learned from the experience and move on.
Have you appealed the decision, or is there no appeal process if you accept the charges as stated?
So basicaly because the head had an issue with me he stated that i was going for tutoring of my class butCan you get a letter from this Dean stating his opinion on the matter?
Also, "The reason I actually went to the center was for tutoring for my class i was taking btw"
How is this "disruptive"? How is "going multiple times" disruptive?
I'm having trouble following your narrative and I can envision an interviewer/screener thinking that you were either A) a victim, or B) a troublemaker.
The thing is i am an introvert and even in tbe recording i was really nice to him and he admitted to me being noce. I just wanted to speak with him since he is the head of the center so if u have any issues the school tells us to speak to the head of the centers first and then deans. When keeping it real goes wrong

He had an issue with you because you were going for tutoring?????So basicaly because the head had an issue with me he stated that i was going for tutoring of my class but
Bringing this issue to the media will not have a good outcome. He had an issue with me that i do not know why. I went to his office to go for tutoring but everytime i went he would roll his eyes or not acknowledge me, and since i did not do anything to him he brought a bunch of charges to the conduct office 1. I was being disruptive by asking mcat questions which the office does not do 2. He did not want to speak to me but was ofrced to. When i presented the recording to the conduct office in which he consensted to speaking the condict office dropped that reasoning but kept the charge. Anyways whats done is done and the conduct record check is saying it will take two weeks. I am thinking of hiring a lawyer for discrimination and was just wondering if speaking to a local governor or bringing this issue to local news would be wise
Will do, thanks for bringing this up. But the thing is i am trying to get this **** off my record cause it is so biased and seem to have hit a dead end. Even with a discrimination lawsuit i do not think the school will reverse their decision.Go to the HR office and file a complaint. That will have an effect on the guy.
