A quick question for those on H1B visa:

I passed step 3 and just recently got my state license. I would like to moonlight inhouse (ie. moonlight at the same hospital that I work at). Basically the medicine dept here hire senior resident as moonlighters who are state licensed and we admit to non teaching services. I am on H1B visa.

1. Is it allowed?
2. Any sort of paperwork needed.
3, Anything else that I need to watch for?

How about moonlighting off-site (ie. at another local hospital, nursing home, etc)?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You should talk to your PD or the GME office. They will have all the answers for you and how to set up in-house moonlighting if there are any opportunities.

That means the same institute that normally pays you or has hired you.
when u moonlight outside your institute then you need another H1B....
hence you cannot work outside your institute.
ask me. I only moonlight in my hospital!
too bad...coz there are amazing opportunities outside!
