For those in the know, is it possible to work in two different locations during the year. For instance, say Colorado for the winter and California for the summer, 6 months each? How plausible is that situation?

Lots of places with heavy seasonal variation in volume hire people to fill in. Aspen in the winter and the hamptons in the summer are examples. The jobs generally pay pretty poorly despite the great payer mix 'cause they know they can get you cheap based on the local attractions.
