Halogens, once on an alkane, increase the C-H bond strength.
Why?
Does this have something to do with the inductive electron-withdrawing of the halogen?
How does this make the C-H bond strength increase? How does this effect acidity too? like in X-CH3 or X-CH2-CH3 etc
