PA Resident.

Do I have a chance at allo this round?

Thanks!

where are you applying? Do you have any research? Jeff and temple may be good choices if you can get a strong PS together and have some good LORs.

Well, you have a chance, but get your app in very soon. You want to limit the competition you'll face as much as possible. Being a PA resident kind of sucks since the state schools are so selective, but hopefully your good MCAT gets you by the initial cuts.

I agree. Just give it a shot at: PSU, Jeff, Drexel, Temple and select private schools outside PA. Maybe RFUMS, NYMC, GW, Loyola, Saint Louis, Albany and Tulane. Don't go overboard, though. Maybe 15 schools or so. A good MCAT/low GPA is much better than the reverse!

How much does it hurt that I don't have any research experience ... or very much EC activity at all ...

Thanks in advance!

Is what you posted the extent of your EC activity? If so, that's probably going to hurt noticeably. Get involved in other stuff you enjoy, and try to get a clinical job so you'll have some useful experience. When I rule the world, pre-meds will stop doing pointless volunteer activities and take part in things that can actually make a difference in their decisions to become physicians.
