I think I know the site you are talking about, b/c I go to it quite often. I don't agree, though, that the owner of the site would take it off intentionally to get money. He has spent his time AND money to offer the best website out there of its kind, in my opinion. He is only asking for donations (not demanding them from each person) in order to get the site back up and running from a recent hacking. May I ask what evidence you have to back up your claim that the owner only wants money? Thanks. 😕
 
While I'm not going to close this thread, it is one that will be watched closely. With the only two posts being from folks with no posting history and an initial post that can be consider quite insulting if not an attack I have my doubts that this will go anywhere good. However, it will be left open for now.

As for my opinion, the other site you mention is a rather helpful site and I have seen nothing of any proof that it was hacked or that it was not hacked. Until I do, I think I would rather give the owner the benifit of any doubt as I've seen nothing but good things from him.

Thank you Dennis for your reply. I ony replied myself b/c I thought it neccessary to give the owner the benefit of the doubt. I'm also finished with this thread.

P.S. I do actually have a post history on here with 8 posts.

This is a pretty serious accusation. May I know the evidence behind this nonsense? You're attacking one's integrity here! I do not think that the forum's owner would do that. C'mon, everyone knows who he is, how he looks like and where he's from! He is not stupid. Why would he do that? This does not pass the "common sense test"! That forum has been up since 1998. If $$ was the problem, why now? If you feel so sure of your accusations, you better back it up and email the forum's owner and tell him so, not display it on SDN. And no--I do not know the owner personally. I just thought that it is cowardly to attack someone when he is not here to defend himself.

PS to the moderator: This is my first post. I finally posted just to rebutt this nonsense. Sorry for the long post.
