To Pre-Dents: I wish all you pre-dents the best with getting accepted. I know I was incredibly fortunate beyond my wildest dreams. I hope you all feel the same way soon.

To Dental People: I am burnt out already, I don't know if I can take dental school anymore. I'm a dumb-ass. I hope people can empathize with what I'm going through - may all your struggles be not-so-crappy!!

I am not one to nitpick...but I like "Happy Holidays" much better than "Merry Christmas". As one of the few people in this world who doesnt celebrate the holiday (and as someone for whom the expression has no meaning) I think Happy Holidays does the job. Its a lot more open minded...as not everyone is down with JC (by the way if you look back in the bible he was one of ours...and a rabbi at that).

In any case...Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Hannukah (OJ simpson, not a jew), Happy Kwanza....and to anyone else I left out have a happy holiday season and a great break (especially the 1st and 2nd year dental students, they deseve it).

Hoping the New Year brings all of us good news.

Been in this forum for a year and a half and I'm so glad I found this place. I gained invaluable information throughout this nightmare process and I appreciate each and every one of you who gave me advice. Happy Holidays, everyone! Congratulations to all of those that have waded through the admissions process only to be rewarded with a great present (an acceptance letter!) and for those that have been waiting I'm sure Santa's not done yet. 👍 I'm not going to list any names, but I would like to extend extra warm greetings to those on SDN that have been helpful to me or have taken the time to drop me a nice little note or hello. 🙂

I don't know how many you are Christians but I personally think saying "happy holiday" is inappropriate. It's Christmas season, and without Christ, it's not even a holiday.. Let's start saying "Merry Christmas" instead of Happy holiday **IF** you agree with me.

What about those that celebrate Hanukkah (they don't "have" Christ yet it is a holiday for them), Kwanzaa, the Winter Soltice, or even Festivus? A lot of people that are not christian celebrate in various ways during this season thus saying "Happy Holidays" is appropriate as not everyone is of the same religious persuasion as you. 😉 Happy Holidays!

My thoughts exactly. As one of those people who doesnt celebrate Christmas...Happy Holidays will do the trick. Not everyone in this world is Christian, MWSUNG
