Could someone clarify this once and for all PLEASE:

What does the "queue to be verified" mean? As in the transcript is still in the mail for some AMCAS employee to sit there and make sure that we entered our coursework correctly?

My understanding is that they've received your transcript and yes, they're waiting on someone to compare your transcript with what you entered.

Good luck to everyone here! I just submitted about 45 minutes ago! It'll go from "waiting for transcripts" (even though they've been received) to "waiting to be verified"...to who knows what.

I don't think you MUST submit on the very first day. It makes little or no difference if you submitted it one week later. 😕

ahhh memories lol. If you think this is nervewracking just wait till you're waiting for interviews/acceptances. THAT is torture. I remember submitting my Amcas and then trying not to think about it for a couple of weeks through finals, friends graduations, and summer activities. Go have a life before secondaries start rolling in.


I submitted mine approximately June 6 and was verified 10 days latter, still with plenty of time before my application would be downloaded by the schools. The later you submit though, the bigger the line.

Ugh! One of my grades for this past semester was not reported on time. So I have to wait another couple of days before they update it and I can tell them to send my transcript to AMCAS (2-day rush delivery of course). Still, it makes me nervous...especially, when people are already getting verified!

Verification will be really fast throughout June. But come August, the process takes a very long time.

I'm going to wait a bit, since Spring Quarter grades don't come out for two more weeks anyway. But I did stop by the premed advising center to drop of my letter packet forwarding request form. I knew it wasn't ready yet, I just wanted the paperwork out of my hands and checked off my list. The admin assistant just stared at me with that "you premeds are all rabid weasels" look and politely informed me that the committee letters wouldn't be ready for 3 more weeks.
